Our tour will start from Shimla, our representative will greet you there & than start your drive toward Kharapathar. Kharapathar is the highest point on this stretch and this town is located at almost 9000 feet above mean sea level. It also falls bang in the middle of the main apple belt of this side of region of tehsil Jubbal. Kharapathar is a place that gives expression to the phrase of ‘time standing still’, Kharapathar is a perfect leisure destination in the heart of nature’s generous blessings to the area. Lush forests, wide views, excellent walk and hike trails and the charm of apple orchards make this a perfect leisure destination that is easily accessible.
On arrived Kharapathar start your trek to Giri Ganga. The main attraction of the place, though, is the 6 km trail that starts from the village and leads uphill to the source of the river Giri Ganga and a temple dedicated to Goddess Durga. From there start your trek to Giri Ganga top (called Kupar), it is a wide meadow & covert with Himalayan cedar trees. It will give you amazing & breathtaking view of some of snow crapped peaks of Chanshal / Kinnaur & Uttrakhand. It is also a place of variety of flora & fauna, so it is the best one spot for a photographer.

Kuppar Bugyal Trek is one of the least explored regions in Shimla is the forest land. Endless expanses of moist deodar trees, mixed coniferous forests and rhododendron forests sit breathing quietly over a large part of this popular hill station. These forests reside in what is known as Pabbar Valley, where Kuppar Bughyal lies. The main wildlife species found here are brown goral, black bear, Himalayan brown bear and a wide variety of monal pheasant species. However, it is strange that with so much abundance of flora and fauna, there is no established national park in this area, which explains how conveniently land mafia has been able to encroach the land by cutting down the forests.
After having breakfast than start your adventure drive toward Chanshal pass. En route visit Hatkoti temple, it is a famous Hindu temple. It is addressed in a valley near Rohru. The temple complex consists of a main temple dedicated to Goddess Durga and a smaller temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Hatkoti Goddess is regarded as the most powerful Goddess of this Region. Goddess Durga is worshipped here as Hatkeshwari. The main temple has a bronze image of eight armed Goddess Durga riding a lion with her spear piercing the heart of the demon Mahishasur.
Than start your drive toward Chanshal pass & en route visit most famous town of this region - Rohru. It is located at river bank of Pabbar, which is the main river of this region. Chirgaon(the sub tehsil), tikkari, Dhamwari(the fishing farm, famous for trout fish), Shiladesh (the apple village) and Larot (the Last village before pass). In evening on arrived Chanshal pass & enjoy your overnight at camps with dinner or at home stay in Larot.
After having morning breakfast proceed to Dodra and Kwar. The villages of Dodra and Kwar are separated by a 22 kms. The two beautiful villages are nestled in remote part of Himalayas. Situated at a height of 2500 metres above sea level, both the villages of Dodra and Kwar are separated by River Rupin which is a tributary of River Yamuna. There are countless wild flowers and medicinal herbs, thick woods of flowering rhododendron, cedar and birch, waterfalls and fastflowing streams. All this is set against a majestic backdrop of high peaks. The villages and their temples, are remarkable examples of local wood work skill and come packed with fascinating legends. The valley is complete package of village culture, amazing natural beauty and the houses are old and build in local architecture with three or four stories, which is living combination of wood and stone. After having a sweet and memorable journey of these villages, you will come back to Chanshal pass at your camp site. Chanshal pass is good to get some amazing 360 degree views from the top up there. Fabulous was the word up there he Chanshal Pass, or Chanshal Valley, links DodraKwar and Rohru in the Shimla district. The pass sits atop the Chanshal Peak, which at 3950 metres. It is perfect place for adventurous sports like skiing, trekking, hiking & natural beauty. On the route you will enjoy the natural beauty and apple gardens. The route is parallel with the Pabbar River. Here you will enjoy the trees, snow-capped peaks, beautiful grain fields and beautiful villages. In this route you will gain the height from 1450 metres to 3950 metres, which will be very exciting experience.
In the evening at leisure with tea & snacks. Dinner & overnight stay at the camp.
In morning after breakfast start a walk at the pass proceed for SaruTaal (SaruLake). SaruTaal is one of the most amazing lake at the height of Chanshal Pass. SaruTaal trek is still unexplored, less known & most beautiful and impressive small and soft trek. On Saru Tal trek, you will enjoy the most beautiful 360 view of the region and also catch the attractive mountains of Uttarakhand and Himachal. On the clear sky day the view from the lake is amazing. You can find natural beauty of great Himalayas, See lovely forested valley and the flowered meadows carpeted with wildflowers. Mix this with an interest in the variety of birds, wildlife, forest and wild flowers and the great opportunity to view many snow-capped peaks. The overnight stay will be provided at SaruTaal in camps where you can count the stars in the night with calm and peaceful environment.
After reaching at Sarutaal fresh and Hot lunch will be served. After lunch take some rest and enjoy the Lake view and surrounding area & in the evening have fresh tea & snacks. Dinner & overnight stay at the camps.
After breakfast check out from Camp & trek down to Kharshali & than start your drive toward Narkanda,it is surrounded by forests and woodlands, Narkanda is a quaint little town in Shimla district which is popular for skiing in winters. Situated at a height of 9000 feet, this town attracts tourists for its ethereal natural beauty and its beautiful apple orchards. Surrounded by tropical forests and majestic hills, this is one place that tourists to Himachal Pradesh should not miss.
Dinner & overnight stay in Hotel at Narkanda.
After having morning breakfast checkout from Hotel and firstly visit Hatu peak.With wonderful orchard and spectacular nature views around, the 7 km stretch to Hatu Peak is an easy trekking trail. Be it a family vacation or a weekend getaway with friends, it can be considered among top places to visit near Shimla. Kacheri, Narkanda town, apple orchards, and snow-covered peaks around make the place a top attraction in the area.
The peak can be accessed by a bike or a car or on foot. At the top of the peak, the verdant views of the mountains around and Hatu Mata temple grace the travellers with their majestic presence. Overall the 7-k-long stretch from Narkanda to Hatu Peak takes close to 3 hours to trek. By the afternoon start your drive to Shimla & tour will end. This journey will seek you the remembering experiences for your life.
